Ben Gurion Airport will re-open tonight, Thursday, October 15th at midnight, allowing Israelis to once again travel freely from Israel.
Note though that COVID - 19 continues to cause limitations to entry to certain countries.
Passengers arriving from "green" countries will be exempt from isolation upon their entry to Israel.

New Regulation expected to Allow Business Visitors

According to senior officials, a new regulation is expected to be published next week which will allow business visitors to enter Israel during the COVID -19 pandemic. Israel’s borders have been closed to tourists and business visitors since March of this year due to the pandemic.

Only a limited number of foreign experts have been allowed entry during this period for employment purposes to ensure business continuity. Specifically, these foreign experts were needed for building and transport, and operation and maintenance of heavy machinery as a part of large scale projects in the energy sector (electricity production and offshore gas and oil works).

According to the officials, the process will be streamlined for those arriving from green countries, and they will be authorized to remaining Israel for up to 7 days for business meetings. The process will be somewhat more complicated for those arriving from red countries and will have the authorization to remain for up to 4 days for business meetings.

We would like to re-emphasize that at this stage, no formal regulation has been published, and the above information may be changed or being delayed.
