Israel - Updated Travel Advisory

The Israeli Ministry of Interior updated today the COVID 19 instructions regarding entry to Israel:

  • Any person entering Israel must sign an obligation to remain in full 14 days in house isolation Any foreign nationals entering Israel must present health insurance that specifically covers for COVID 19 disease upon entry to Israel.

  • Any foreign national departing from Israel before the end of the 14 days isolation without special permission violates the law. An additional entry will not be allowed for such a person.

  • Foreign national will not be allowed onboard flight to Israel without holding a pre-entry approval issued by the Ministry of Interior

  • Home country vacation: foreign experts holding a one-year B-1 expert visa and their families, can now travel to their home country and back to Israel, subject to a pre-approved application for re-entry during COVID 19. The special re-entry application must be submitted (and approved) at the Ministry of Interior before departure. KTA would like to emphasize that this requirement is in addition to the normal multiple entry visa the expats and their families may have.

The Ministry also re-validated its instructions regarding those who can travel to Israel. Please see KTA client alert dated June 15, 2020.
