Ten Weeks Automatic Extension for Expert B-1 Work Visas

https://campaign-image.com/zohocampaigns/612417000001526004_zc_v11_2_month_visa_.jpg

The Ministry of Interior has announced that in accordance with the new Emergency Regulations (Corona-virus):

  • An automatic 3 month extension will be granted to all foreign nationals holding a Foreign Expert B-1 work visa, with an expiration date of up to June 30, 2020 (the “relevant period”).

  • An automatic 10 weeks extension will be granted to all foreign nationals holding a Foreign Expert B-1 work visa, with an expiration date of up to August 31, 2020 (the “relevant period”).

Specifically, the announcement provides that where the work permit and/or B-1 expert work visa has expired or will expire in the relevant period, the Foreign Expert B-1 work visa issued to the foreign national will be automatically extended. The extension will be registered with the Ministry of Interior systems.

For example, if a permit expires on July 31, 2020, it will be automatically extended to October 09, 2020 (10 weeks), within the government database.

This extension applies to all sub-categories of working visas for experts including 45 days visa (SEA), 3 month visa (STEP) a 1-year visa and Hi-Tech 365 visas.

It should be noted that where a foreign worker changes employers, it will be necessary to apply for a work permit under the normal procedures, with an application to transfer the employee to the new employer.

Kan-Tor & Acco (KTA) maintains its recommendation to apply for an extension of the work visa for those intending to remain in Israel beyond the automatic extension as soon as possible.

Your KTA Client Service Manager will contact you to determine such need and act accordingly.

Project and Company Immigration Tech | KIT 3.2 Demonstration

We previously advised about the launch of KTA’s Immigration Tech KIT® version 3.2. The system is provided to KTA’s clients for no additional charge, and is a critical component of the large project coordination center.

The KIT® system allows for the seamless integration of all phases of international relocation projects and is the only solution available which supports the needs of the Project Manager, HR Manager, and the individual assignee. .  Due to the overwhelming  interest expressed in the KIT® system, we are offering a brief  system demonstration which would be customized to your organizations needs.

During the short webinar, we will want to expend our knowledge a little more about your company's immigration needs, to make sure the KIT can improve your productivity, communication, and outcome of the immigration process.
