Emergency - US Visa Processing Updates
Applications submitted while in the United States
1. USCIS
has extended
the suspension of interviews
and biometrics appointments at local offices until June 3, 2020.
2.
Applicants have an additional
60 days to respond to requests
for evidence (RFE) and notices of intent to deny or revoke (NOID).
3.
Employers will have 60 days (rather
than 30) to
file an appeal or motion to reopen a USCIS decision .
Applications to be processed at the US Embassy in
Israel
1. US Embassy Jerusalem and the Tel Aviv Branch have
resumed passport delivery services. The passports will be sent to the address
provided for delivery by next week. There is no on-site pick-up available.
2. All visa interview appointments that were
scheduled up until June 2, 2020 for the US Embassy in Jerusalem or the
Branch Office in Tel Aviv are cancelled. Applicants will need to reschedule a new appointment for a later date.
3. Notice for having been chosen for the Diversity Visa Lottery will now be
issued on June 6, 2020.
